2009 Creditable Coverage Notification
All Regence groups with prescription drug coverage have been sent a cover letter along with either a Notice of Creditable Coverage or Notice of Non-creditable Coverage to be distributed to their Medicare-eligible employees. In some cases, a large group may have received both notices, along with a list of which groups fall into each category.
To ensure that all eligible members and dependents are notified, Regence suggests that the appropriate notice be given to all employees covered on a Regence plan so that the notices reaches spouses and dependents.
Below are examples of the employer group cover letters sent to fully insured groups, along with the notice. Self-funded groups received only a cover letter with the notice and the WHCRA information.
Letters have also been sent to members enrolled in Regence Individual and Medicare plans.
