November 2008 Creditable Coverage Notice

The following letter mails to agents on November 5, 2008.

Dear agent:

All Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Utah groups with prescription drug coverage were sent either a Notice of Creditable Coverage or Notice of Non-Creditable Coverage during the first week of November. In addition to this notice, all fully insured groups also received the Notice of Privacy Practices, Women's Health and Cancer Rights Act Notice (WHCRA) and the Notice of Consent to Withdraw from the Utah Statewide Immunization Information System (USIIS). In the few instances of groups with multiple coverage, some creditable and others non-creditable, they received a list of which groups met the criteria.

To ensure that all eligible members and dependents are notified, Regence suggests that this notice be given to all employees on a Regence plan so that appropriate notification goes to spouses and dependents.

Attached below are copies of the cover letters sent to fully insured groups with creditable or non-creditable coverage, along with the creditable and non-creditable notices. Self-funded groups received only a cover letter with the creditable or non-creditable notices.
