Traditional Network
The “traditional” Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Utah network
is known for its broad access across the entire state. As the company’s
original provider network, participating providers agree to accept our allowances
as full payment, less those amounts identified as the subscriber’s responsibility
(e.g. deductible, coinsurance, copayment and non-covered services). Approximately
93 percent of all physicians (MDs) and 100 percent of all acute/general care
hospitals in Utah participate in this network. This network also serves the
Utah Health Insurance Pool (HIPUtah).
