Avoid common electronic transmission errors

To assist you in avoiding errors when transmitting electronic claims to the Utah Health Information Network (UHIN) full-service clearinghouse, we have compiled solutions to some common errors below:

Error message

Explanation

Solution

Duplicate Batch ID

The envelope of the file ISA13 must have a unique number, and the number entered has already been used.

Use a unique identification (ID) number for the batch.

Error 006

Registration has not been completed for submitting electronic claims transactions with Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Utah (Regence BCBSU).

Contact Regence Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) support to set up or complete registration.

Error 008

Trading partner number is not on file with Regence BCBSU.

Contact Regence EDI support to submit this information.

Invalid User name/ PW

When this error is received during test claim submission, it means that set-up is not complete on the UHIN test server.

Contact UHIN to set up access.

LF/FSC

The log in or security check failed.

The UHIN password has expired and must be updated. Passwords must be updated at least every three months.

NDRE

No route found.

The payer is experiencing technical issues and is not available to receive the file.

Web Server = true

When accessing UHIN using a dial-up modem, this message indicates that the session has timed out.

Try the transmission again. Consider upgrading to the new Web-enabled version of ProClaimWin.
