Epocrates® and downloadable formularies are time-saving and efficient
Epocrates, Inc. develops clinical information and decision support tools that enable physicians and other health care professionals to find answers quickly and confidently at the point of care. Epocrates mobile and Web-based products are used by one in four U.S. physicians to help reduce medical records, improve patient care and increase productivity.
If you use a personal data assistant (PDA), you can download our Preferred Medication List/Formulary (PML) for fast, convenient access from Epocrates.com.The list includes information on the most frequently used medications, so some formulary medications may not be listed. The PML, including formularies, is available on the RegenceRx® Web site in the Research Medications section, under Preferred Medication List. Formulary changes are posted quarterly on the Epocrates Web site.
You can view the most current information about:
- Comparisons of generic, preferred, and non-preferred medications
- Whether restrictions exist (e.g., quantity limits or prior authorization)
- The formulary tier for a specific medication
Epocrates' clinical database also gives you information about:
- Adult and pediatric dosages
- Drug interactions, contraindications and adverse reactions
- Average Wholesale Price (AWP) information and packaging from drugstore.com
