TRICARE billing change for ambulatory surgical centers
Effective May 1, all ambulatory surgical center (ASC) claims
for services on or after that date must be submitted on a UB-04 claim
form. TRICARE will no longer accept ASC claims with an SG
modifier on a CMS-1500 claim form. Claims for services
after May 1 submitted on a CMS-1500 will be returned. Learn
