H1N1 vaccine administration: Regence to cover costs
Flu season is upon us and working to prevent and contain the spread of the H1N1 virus is a priority at Regence. To encourage all of our members to seek vaccination, for a limited time, we are:
- Waiving copayments, deductibles and coinsurance
- Providing coverage for the costs associated with the administration of the H1N1 vaccine (the federal government is making the vaccine available at no cost)
"We all have a stake in doing what we can to reduce the collective toll of this virus on our nation's health," said Mark Ganz, Regence president and chief executive officer. "The decision to cover the costs associated with the administration of H1N1 vaccine was made in support of our members and in an effort to ensure that those who need it most receive this vital preventive service."
